Overview

AEGIS monitors the provision of domiciliary care in real-time and provides extensive reporting, eliminating the need for timesheet returns, reducing administration effort and producing accurate and approved information for Billing and Payroll purposes.

This system does not require the purchase of specialist telephone equipment and incurs no client call charges, making it both simple and cost effective to implement and operate.

Our solutions have been designed to allow integration with existing Social Services Corporate systems, Homecare Rostering systems and will also link to your corporate WAN via the intranet/internet in line with the Government’s e-Gif Policy.

AEGIS Care Provider monitoring can also be provided as a stand-alone package with Web based reporting to monitor and report on the internal/external provision of care. Alternatively we are able to offer our Homecare Scheduling and Monitoring systems fully integrated, stand alone or integrated with your existing scheduling system.

Question
We have concerns about using the service users phones to Log In/Out of a visit in case they object .

Answer
In our experience, gained over the past 10 years of providing monitoring solutions, Service Users have no objections once it has been explained to them they will not incur any phone charges and the monitoring solution helps in ensuring their essential visits are provided as planned and it also helps with the safety of the service users and their carers.

Question
What special  PC hardware will we need in order to implement  AEGIS.

Answer
None, AEGIS is a Hosted solution which means Jontek provide all the necessary  Servers, Telephony etc. Users access the system via any PC using their PC Windows Browser.

Question
My Care Staff think this is “big brother”

Answer
Communication to staff is key to the successful implementation of a monitoring system.  Once it is explained that the system is simply replacing the paper timesheets with electronic monitoring (phone calls) to help ensure clients get the care they deserve, they will understand that it is just a more efficient way of gathering data about visits, in an electronic format to make it easier for the organisation to pay carers and invoice service users.

Question
"What if the client has no telephone or doesn’t want us to use it?"

Answer
In our experience, only 5% of service users either do not have a phone or they do not want care staff to use it for monitoring purposes.  Jontek have a method of data capture in place to resolve these rare occurrences.

Question
"Is there any cost to the client?"

Answer
No,  there is no cost to the client at any time

Question
"What if my staff can’t gain entry to the clients home to make the call, or the client is already on the phone?"

Answer
Jontek have a method of data capture in place to resolve these occasional and exceptional circumstances.

Question 7
Will the system raise an alert if a carer doesn’t arrive at the right time?

Answer 7
Yes , the system can raise alerts and send them to a computer desk top, or to a mobile phone or via email or a combination of all three.
